Dr Prakash Kothari is a physician and founder Professor of the Department of Sexual Medicine at the King Edward Memorial Hospital and Seth G. S. Medical College, Mumbai. A medical graduate, he was awarded a PhD in 1981 by The Mumbai University. Dr Kothari is credited with several books and articles on sexology.

He is the recipient of several national and international awards.
